Can I use the AI features after installing MindStruo alone?
No. Document generation and analysis require OpenAI Codex signed in on this computer. Codex access and charges are separate from MindStruo. Supported local file opening, search, graph, and preview features can still be used without Codex.
Are my files uploaded automatically?
Local vaults, Markdown originals, and exported files are not uploaded to the company's cloud content store unless the user separately sends or shares them. Starting an AI feature or using the optional Codex connection may send selected material, the request, and project context needed for that request to Codex; the included scope is shown before the task starts.
Are different projects completely isolated?
Search indexes and app state are separated when projects use different vaults. Within one vault, however, the default edit and reference scope may include the whole vault, so MindStruo does not promise hard isolation between every project. Use separate vaults and review the project-scope setting when strict separation is required.
What can I use without an internet connection?
Supported local file opening, search, graph, and preview features work without an internet connection. AI execution, web research, account sign-in, license refresh, and update checks require connectivity. Offline paid access is limited to a valid local entitlement receipt and its allowed grace period, not guaranteed indefinitely.
Does uninstalling the app delete my project data?
Uninstalling the app or deleting the cloud account does not automatically delete the selected local vault or Markdown originals. App-owned local state may also remain depending on the removal method. Use the app's reset or derived-data controls when needed, and keep or delete the vault yourself.
How do backup and restore work?
A user-run local backup copies vault files and the hidden project ledger and creates a SHA-256 verification manifest. It is not an automatic or cloud backup, and backup encryption was not found in the audited implementation. Restore requires a preview and confirmation, but it can replace current files or delete files absent from the backup, so keep a separate copy first.
Does Document Builder replace final professional review?
It creates PDF, DOCX, PPTX, XLSX, HWPX, Markdown, HTML, or TXT drafts from the selected evidence. Each format is structured for its intended use, but the user must compare facts, figures, citations, rights, and final wording with the source material and finish any necessary editing.
Can I request researched documents without attaching sources?
A request using AI automatic selection and approved web research may start without an attachment or selected node. When web research is explicitly requested, the requested research scope is followed even if local material appears sufficient. If usable evidence remains insufficient, MindStruo identifies the kind of source needed.
Does closing Document Builder stop an active job?
After generation starts, closing only the Document Builder window does not stop the job while the app and local engine continue running. Progress and results can be reopened from the bottom status area and Document Builder. Exiting the app or local engine may interrupt an active job.
Which operating systems and file formats are supported?
The first public installer is being prepared for macOS. Windows will follow after platform signing and installation and update checks are complete. Exact supported versions and installation requirements will be published when downloads open. Support differs by file type, and HWPX or experimental formats must be opened in the intended application for final compatibility review.
What will Early Access cost?
Checkout is not open yet. When Korean sales open, every Early Access subscription will start at KRW 19,900 per month with the same included features. The same subscription keeps its KRW 19,900 monthly price unless and until the MindStruo service records it as terminally canceled. Codex access and charges are separate.
How will Founding 100 and cancellations work?
Founding #001–#100 will be assigned, in verification order, to the first 100 accounts whose initial Early Access payment the MindStruo service verifies as successful. Founding is recognition only; it does not change features or price. Before opening subscription management, the app explains the general effect of cancellation. It separately asks you to acknowledge permanent loss of an active Founding number, or possible Founding assignment still being processed while slots remain. This confirmation alone does not cancel the subscription. A scheduled cancellation, pause, payment retry, or allowed grace period does not break continuity while the service has not recorded the subscription as terminally canceled. Withdrawing a scheduled cancellation before that terminal record preserves continuity. Once terminal cancellation is recorded, the Founding number and price-continuity eligibility are permanently lost, the ended number is not reassigned, and a later purchase is a new subscription at the price shown then. This static page does not show a live remaining count.
Does cancellation or a refund delete local files?
Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period and prevents the next charge. Paid features may stop immediately after an approved full refund or chargeback reaches the entitlement service, but the user's local vault, Markdown originals, and downloaded outputs are not automatically deleted.
What should I include in a support request?
Email support@mindstruo.com with the app and operating-system versions, the screen and sequence that produced the issue, and a redacted screenshot if useful. For billing, include the order email and Paddle transaction ID. Do not send passwords, API keys, full card numbers, CVCs, or unnecessary source documents.
